Alex Padilla (D-CA) faced rough treatment while attempting to challenge Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during a press conference. In another instance, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander was detained while opposing ICE actions in an immigration court, further showcasing the divide over how immigration enforcement is being enacted.
While some see these confrontations as politically motivated spectacles, others voice concern over the implications of such actions on the rule of law.
