When Jaclyn Sienna India started her luxury travel concierge service, Sienna Charles, in 2008, she aimed to create an impression of success even before it was a reality. She recalls how her husband doubted her ambitions while they received inquiries from potential clients who had seen her articles, despite having no actual clients at the time.
Fast forward sixteen years, and her persistence has paid off. India now counts several world leaders and celebrities, including former President George W. Bush and singer Mariah Carey, among her exclusive clientele. Her services cater to individuals earning over $100 million annually, a group that often has access to everything but still seeks her unique offerings.
India attributes her success to her genuine care for her clients. Drawing from her experience as a server, she emphasizes the importance of understanding people’s needs and desires. With a network encompassing over 2,000 relationships within the hospitality sector, India can curate extraordinary travel and dining experiences that cater specifically to her clients’ interests.
She states that her clients often have a vision of what they want but lack the means to achieve it. India’s talent lies in quickly grasping that vision and bringing it to fruition. However, she is not just focused on booking the most glamorous venues; her priority is to provide meaningful experiences that her clients will truly value. For instance, while she has the ability to secure reservations at the renowned French Laundry, she opts to highlight unique dining experiences at venues like Single Thread Farms in California, which she finds more compelling.
India’s services often result in exclusive events, such as a candlelit dinner at Versailles or brunch on the Arc de Triomphe. She also arranges opportunities for her clients to meet influential figures in the industry, such as having breakfast with the Hermes family or lunch with the Fendi family in Rome.
At times, her clients request simpler comforts. When former President Bush visited Ethiopia, she made sure he had familiar comforts, including peanut butter and non-alcoholic beer, along with a warm welcome from local children wearing Texas Rangers caps.
India’s commitment to her clients extends beyond luxury; she finds value in authentic experiences and strives to discover intriguing options for her clients by engaging with diverse individuals throughout her day, from cab drivers to restaurant staff.
