Jessi DiPette, a 30-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, is making strides in the world of reality competition shows. Having garnered attention two years ago on Netflix’s “Squid Game: The Challenge,” DiPette has set her sights on joining NBC’s “The Traitors” and is currently auditioning for a forthcoming vocal competition series. This week, she showcases her talents on the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s “Beast Games,” which premiered new episodes on Wednesday.
Hosted by the popular YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, “Beast Games” features 200 contestants facing a series of physical and mental challenges. The show aims for a thrilling dynamics as contestants vie for a whopping $5 million grand prize. Since its debut in 2024, “Beast Games” has quickly become Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted series, attracting 50 million viewers within the first 25 days.
In the latest season, competitors are divided into two teams: Strong or Smart. DiPette earned her spot on Team Strong after impressively submitting a video of her doing pushups, sit-ups, and pull-ups at her local gym. Although she found herself surrounded by elite athletes, including Olympians and American Ninja Warriors, DiPette remains optimistic about her ability to contribute to the team. “I teach fitness classes,” she remarked, downplaying her competitive nature.
She referred to her role as a “personality hire,” although her physical endurance was put to the test during a crucial tiebreaker round, where she completed an impressive 75 pushups. The filming took place over 25 days in June and July, and DiPette expressed joy when she was invited to guest emcee during a major game challenge—though, as she humorously noted, it didn’t make the final cut of the show.
New episodes of “Beast Games” will continue to be released weekly, leading up to a gripping season finale set for February 25. DiPette’s journey in the reality TV landscape demonstrates her determination and passion for competition, and it will be exciting to see how her ambitions unfold in future shows.
