From Server to Sought-After Concierge: The Rise of Jaclyn Sienna India

Jaclyn Sienna India founded Sienna Charles, her luxury travel concierge service, in 2008 with a vision to succeed against the odds. Initially, she claimed to have a bustling clientele, despite having none, telling potential customers that she was fully booked with high-net-worth individuals seeking exclusive experiences.

Fast forward sixteen years, and her strategy has yielded impressive results. India’s clientele now includes multiple world leaders, like former President George W. Bush, and celebrities such as Mariah Carey. She exclusively caters to individuals with annual earnings exceeding $100 million, providing services that go beyond what they could arrange for themselves.

India emphasizes the importance of genuine care in her service. Drawing from her experience as a server for five years, she understands the significance of attentiveness and personal connection. “My clients are more powerful than me, but getting things done requires compassion,” she notes.

With a vast network of over 2,000 relationships in the hospitality sector, India curates unique travel and dining experiences tailored to her clients’ desires. “They have a vision for their experience but often lack the tools and access to achieve it,” India explains. She prides herself on grasping her clients’ needs quickly and executing them seamlessly.

While she can provide access to elite venues, India prioritizes the quality of the experience over sheer luxury. For instance, she opts not to promote high-profile restaurants like French Laundry, believing alternative venues, such as Single Thread Farms, offer more meaningful experiences.

India has arranged extraordinary events, such as candlelit dinners in Versailles and brunch atop the Arc de Triomphe. She often combines dining with encounters with influential personalities, including breakfast with the Hermes family and lunch with the Fendi family in Rome.

However, her services aren’t always about extravagance. For Bush’s trip to Ethiopia, she arranged for him to enjoy simple comforts like peanut butter and non-alcoholic beer, coupled with a warm welcome from local children wearing Texas Rangers caps.

“I genuinely care about people,” India remarks, stating that her day involves conversations with everyone from cab drivers to restaurant staff to discover the best options for her clients. “Authentic experiences matter as much as luxury.”
