Dr. Peggy Ravusiro, a contestant in the Ms Labasa and Miss Fiji Pageant, has proudly graduated with her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Fiji National University. Her graduation marks a significant achievement after six years of hard work and dedication, which she credits to the unwavering support of her family.

Reflecting on her journey, Dr. Ravusiro expressed, “Six years of my blood and tears, and of my family’s support, this is the cream of the cake for me.” Originally from Papua New Guinea, she also has maternal connections to Kadavu, adding a personal significance to her accomplishments in Fiji.

During her studies, Dr. Ravusiro completed her final year of medical rotations at the Labasa Divisional Hospital, allowing her to forge a deep connection with Fiji’s northern region. She believes that the timing of her achievements, coinciding with her participation in the pageant, is a sign of divine intervention. “I don’t know if you call it God’s timing, where all of this is happening at once. But each day, I remind myself that whatever tomorrow looks like, God loves me,” she said.
