Julia May Jonas’s debut novel, Vladimir, has achieved remarkable success, appearing at the top of numerous best-of-the-year lists. Now, as the novel makes its transition to the screen, Jonas collaborates with Oscar-nominated directors Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman, alongside lead actors Rachel Weisz, Leo Woodall, and John Slattery, to bring this compelling drama to life.

Jonas reflects on the surreal experience of watching her creation being adapted, sharing, “When I was getting my makeup done, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m getting my makeup done on the set of the show that is based on the novel that I wrote.’ It’s been incredibly magical and very humbling to see the cast and crew bring this to life. I’ve been focused on just trying to tell the story.”

As anticipation builds for the series, a new Tudum video offers insight into the creative process behind Vladimir. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on March 5, and fans are encouraged to immerse themselves in the world of Vladimir before the release.

The adaptation of Vladimir showcases the power of storytelling across different mediums, transforming a celebrated literary work into a visual experience. With such a talented team at the helm, there is much excitement around what promises to be a captivating series.
