Jaclyn Sienna India launched her luxury travel concierge, Sienna Charles, in 2008 with the mindset of “faking it until making it.” Despite a lack of clients early on, India found herself fielding inquiries from potential customers who had seen her articles, leading her to assert that her services were fully booked with high-net-worth individuals.
Fast forward sixteen years, India now counts various influential figures, including former President George W. Bush and celebrities like Mariah Carey, among her clientele, serving those with annual incomes surpassing $100 million. India emphasizes that her approach revolves around empathy and personal connection, rather than the status of her clients.
Her company has cultivated an extensive network in the hospitality sector, boasting over 2,000 contacts, enabling her to create bespoke experiences for her clients. She claims her talent lies in grasping her clients’ visions from brief conversations and translating those wishes into reality.
India’s mission is not just to secure access to lavish venues but to create meaningful experiences. Though many consider high-end establishments like the French Laundry in Napa a must-visit, India believes that other options, like Single Thread Farms, might offer richer experiences.
Her work has seen clients partake in memorable events, such as a candlelit dinner in Versailles or brunch on the Arc de Triomphe. She also orchestrates opportunities for her clients to meet notable personalities, arranging meals with families like those behind Hermes and Fendi.
At times, however, the requests are more straightforward. In one instance, when President Bush visited Ethiopia, India ensured he had familiar comforts, such as peanut butter and non-alcoholic beer, alongside a welcoming gesture from local children wearing Texas Rangers caps.
India’s commitment goes beyond luxury; she believes in the value of authentic experiences, striving to understand and fulfill her clients’ genuine interests through daily conversations with various individuals, from taxi drivers to restaurant staff.
