Jaclyn Sienna India launched her luxury travel concierge service, Sienna Charles, in 2008 with the intent to project confidence despite lacking initial clients. In the early days, she often responded to inquiries from potential clients about exclusive destinations by claiming her services were fully booked, even though she had no one on her roster.
Fast forward sixteen years, and her strategy has paid off. India now counts prominent figures, including former President George W. Bush and celebrities like Mariah Carey, among her high-profile clientele, who each make over $100 million annually. Her services cater to clients who seemingly have everything, but India provides a unique level of care and personal service that sets her apart.
“My clients hold immense power and know countless people, but that doesn’t necessarily facilitate results. What truly matters is genuine care and emotional intelligence,” India said. Drawing from her experience as a server, she understands the nuances of client relationships and personalizes her approach to meet their needs.
Sienna Charles has an extensive network within the hospitality sector, allowing India to curate extraordinary travel and dining experiences. “My clients convey their visions, and they lack the tools or time to bring those to life. I specialize in capturing those ideas and making them a reality,” she noted.
India’s priority is not just to secure reservations at the most sought-after venues but to ensure that each experience is meaningful. For instance, she has opted not to recommend renowned restaurants like the French Laundry, instead directing clients to unique local experiences that resonate more with their desires.
Her venture often includes arranging unique events, such as a candlelit dinner at Versailles or brunch atop the Arc de Triomphe. She also facilitates connections with influential figures, having organized meals with major personalities from iconic fashion families.
However, sometimes her clients seek simpler comforts. For example, when Bush visited Ethiopia, she made sure he had familiar favorites, like peanut butter and non-alcoholic beer, and a warm welcome from local children wearing Texas Rangers caps.
“I genuinely care about people,” India explained, emphasizing her commitment to discovering authentic experiences beyond mere luxury. By engaging with everyone from drivers to restaurant staff, she ensures that her clients enjoy a broad spectrum of genuine and enriching experiences.
