Currently, there has not been an official statement from the family or Xatar’s record label regarding the recent developments in his life. While the exact circumstances remain unclear, Xatar has previously been open about his challenging upbringing. He revealed that his past led him into a life of crime, where he dealt drugs and stole jewelry and gold teeth worth €1.7 million, resulting in a prison sentence. In an interview with Stern in 2017, he shared, “I served five years for this. A drug delivery went wrong, and I suddenly needed a lot of money. I saw no other way to escape that situation.”
Xatar spoke candidly about how he found respect through his criminal actions. He turned his apartment into a hub for drug sales, feeling a sense of recognition from older peers that he lacked in everyday life. He detailed his early experiences with drugs, acknowledging how he enjoyed the lifestyle but ultimately realized it was destructive.
Despite these struggles, Xatar transformed his life, becoming one of the most successful German rappers and entrepreneurs. He founded several record labels, including Alles oder Nix Records, Kopfticker Records, Groove Attack TraX, and Goldmann Entertainment. Additionally, he made a literary mark with his autobiography, “Alles oder Nix: Bei uns sagt man, die Welt gehört dir.” A film titled “Rheingold,” which depicts his life story and features Emilio Sakraya in the lead role, was released in German theaters on October 27, 2022.
This narrative serves as a powerful testament to resilience and transformation, showing how one can rise from difficult beginnings to achieve success and recognition in their chosen field. Xatar’s journey reflects not only personal redemption but also a broader message of hope that change is possible, no matter the circumstances.
