Carson Beck, now the quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes, talked about his experiences as a Georgia Bulldog during the recent ACC Media Days in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dressed in a stylish dark green suit, which he previously wore after a game last season, Beck reflected on his successful journey at Georgia, where he held a remarkable 24-3 record as the starter.
At the press event, Beck expressed gratitude for his time at Georgia, acknowledging the deep relationships he forged with teammates and coaches. “Georgia will always be family to me,” he stated. “I wouldn’t be the person or player I am today without Georgia, and I’ll always be a Bulldog.” His career highlight at Georgia included a memorable moment during the SEC Championship Game, where his pivotal one-armed handoff led to a game-winning touchdown against Texas.
Despite missing the spring drills at Miami due to an elbow injury sustained in the SEC Championship Game, Beck reported a full recovery in April and is ready to lead the Hurricanes, who are among the favorites in the ACC this season. He is also projected as a top NFL prospect but reassured that he doesn’t feel overwhelmed by the expectations. “I think in the SEC, the fanbases are insane, and Miami’s culture will be something similar,” he noted, highlighting the excitement for the season opener against Notre Dame.
Among the many cherished memories from his time at Georgia, Beck recalled a thrilling eight-overtime game against Georgia Tech, an experience that he described as emotional and unforgettable. With the Hurricanes set to kick off their season on August 31 against Notre Dame, Beck is embracing this new chapter in his football career while carrying the lessons learned from his time in Georgia.
This change signifies both a continuation and a fresh start for Beck, who voices enthusiasm for the upcoming season. His story resonates with many athletes who navigate transitions in their sports careers, showcasing resilience and passion.
