The TCU Horned Frogs (3-2; 1-1) are set to face the Houston Cougars (1-4; 0-2) in a Big 12 matchup under the Friday Night Lights at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
After their inaugural season in the Big 12, Houston made a significant coaching change, parting ways with Dana Holgorsen and hiring former Tulane coach Willie Fritz to steer the program. The start of Fritz’s tenure has been challenging, highlighted by consecutive shutout losses in conference play. However, the Cougars did secure a victory against Rice, reclaiming the Bayou Bucket, and managed to put up a strong fight against Oklahoma in Norman. Offensively, the Cougars have faced difficulties, particularly with turnovers, as quarterback Donovan Smith has thrown five interceptions this season, along with just two touchdown passes.
