A freezing rain warning has led to the cancellation of student transportation services across several school boards in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) on Tuesday morning. This weather advisory has prompted cautious measures to ensure the safety of students.

In Durham Region, both the Durham District School Board and the Durham Catholic District School Board have suspended all bus services for the day. In the Halton Region, bus services for the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board in zones 1, 2, and 3 have also been cancelled, although schools are open for regular operations.

Hamilton-Wentworth Student Transportation Services reported that while buses are generally running, some delays have been encountered. In Peel Region, buses servicing schools in Zone 3 have been halted for the day.

In Toronto, parents should be aware that both the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board anticipate potential delays in bus services due to the ongoing inclement weather. Lastly, in York Region, all buses servicing schools under the York District School Board and York Catholic District School Board have been cancelled, yet classes continue for students.
