Planet Fitness is excited to announce the return of its highly acclaimed High School Summer Pass™ program for the fifth year in a row, offering teenagers aged 14 to 19 the opportunity to workout for free from June 1 through August 31, 2025. This initiative will be available at over 2,700 participating locations across the United States and Canada.
Early registration is now open at PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass, encouraging teens to seize this chance to engage in summer fitness activities. The program aims to promote youth wellness by creating a welcoming “Judgement Free environment” where adolescents can establish healthy fitness habits.
Since the inception of the program in 2019, Planet Fitness has waived more than $300 million in membership fees, supporting millions of teens in their fitness journeys. Supporting this initiative, a national study commissioned by the company revealed that an impressive 90% of teens feel happier after exercising, while 93% find that exercise helps them manage emotional challenges. Notably, many teens experience increased levels of stress and screen time during the summer months.
Colleen Keating, CEO of Planet Fitness, emphasizes the program’s importance, stating, “With free access to our clubs throughout the summer, we’re providing teens with the tools they need to develop healthy fitness habits that can last a lifetime.”
To further promote the initiative, Olympic gymnast and two-time medalist Stephen Nedoroscik has teamed up with Planet Fitness. “Fitness and training have always been a huge part of my life,” Nedoroscik shared. “Giving teens free access to a place to move, feel confident, and chase their goals is powerful.”
Registered teens will have access to an array of fitness facilities, including strength equipment, cardio machines, stretching areas, certified training, teen-specific workout plans, and digital workouts via the Planet Fitness App.
It is important for teens to register at their designated location, and for those under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver during registration. More details can be found at PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass.
This program not only promotes physical health but also addresses mental well-being among teenagers, providing them with a supportive environment to cultivate lifelong healthy habits.
