President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu recently toured the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Muddenahalli, India, where he praised the institution’s dedication to delivering free, high-quality healthcare for children and their families. His visit included an overview of the hospital’s state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, which is renowned as one of the most advanced in India. This technology enhances imaging accuracy in neuro, cardiac, and soft tissue cases, facilitating precise 3D surgical planning.
The hospital operates under a broader humanitarian mission led by Sri Madhusudan Sai, with its influence extending to various countries, including Fiji, the United States, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The facility provides free medical consultations, screenings, and surgeries to those in need. The President highlighted the hospital’s considerable impact in Fiji, where it has successfully conducted 420 pediatric heart surgeries and offered over 68,000 free consultations, significantly improving healthcare access for underserved communities.
Ratu Naiqama also acknowledged the instrumental contributions of former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in establishing the Sai Prema Hospital in Fiji. This facility stands as a crucial beacon of hope for many families throughout the Pacific region.
