Patrick Dempsey and Michael Imperioli are set to star in the highly anticipated drama “Memory of a Killer,” which will premiere this January on FOX. The series draws inspiration from the acclaimed 2003 Belgian film “De Zaak Alzheimer” (“La Memoire Du Tueur”) and features Dempsey in the lead role of Angelo Doyle, a hitman grappling with a life-altering secret: he has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Dempsey, known for his roles in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Dexter: Original Sin,” and “Ferrari,” portrays Angelo, who navigates a perilous double life while facing the challenges of his condition. Joining him is Emmy winner Michael Imperioli, famed for his performances in “The White Lotus” and “The Sopranos,” taking on the role of Dutch. Dutch, an accomplished chef, is also Angelo’s oldest friend and runs a restaurant that conceals a criminal operation.
The cast of “Memory of a Killer” is rounded out by Richard Harmon as Joe, another hitman; Odeya Rush as Maria, Angelo’s daughter; Daniel David Stewart as Jeff, Maria’s husband; Peter Gadiot as local police detective Dave; and Gina Torres as Special Agent Linda Grant.
Produced by Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment, “Memory of a Killer” promises to deliver a thrilling narrative that combines elements of psychological drama and suspense. As audiences gear up for its premiere, the first promo will debut during the World Series, providing a glimpse into the gripping story awaiting viewers. This series not only showcases intriguing characters and complex relationships but also highlights the challenges of dealing with Alzheimer’s, potentially bringing awareness to the condition through its compelling storyline.
