Fox News co-host Emily Compagno has voiced her frustrations regarding Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), accusing him of pretending to represent the Bay Area. On an episode of Outnumbered, the conversation turned to the Democratic criticism of President Donald Trump’s plans to demolish the East Wing of the White House to pave the way for a new ballroom. Swalwell has been vocal about the issue, stating that any 2028 Democratic presidential candidate must commit to tearing down the new structure upon assuming office.

Compagno expressed her exhaustion with what she sees as a pattern of credibility undermined by certain politicians, including Swalwell and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. She remarked, “I am so tired of the credibility being shattered, and the instant these individuals get on camera or behind their X accounts,” highlighting her frustration with what she perceives as clickbait politics over genuine public service.

In her defense of the new White House ballroom, Compagno argued that it would ultimately benefit Americans and embodies the aspirations and respect the nation seeks.

Turning her focus to Swalwell’s background, Compagno pointed out that he was born in Sac City, Iowa, and later raised in Dublin, California, implying that he lacks authentic ties to the Bay Area. “For some very small-minded and bitter people who come from, where does he come from? Iowa? And then he moved to Dublin, California, and pretends to be from the Bay Area?” she exclaimed. Compagno’s comments underscore a broader criticism in the political discourse about authenticity and representation.

The discussions surrounding Swalwell’s comments and Compagno’s rebuttal reflect ongoing tensions in American politics, particularly concerning regional identity and the authenticity of political representation. As these conversations unfold, they highlight the diverse sentiments and opinions shaping current political landscapes.
