A tragic event unfolded yesterday on Nasovatava Road in Nadroga, where a four-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a vehicle. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the incident occurred around 9 a.m. The child, identified as Simione Cokanauto, was crossing the road when he was hit by 32-year-old Savenaca Narube, a digger operator from Nasovatava Village in Sigatoka.

Emergency services swiftly transported Simione to Loma Nursing Station in Sigatoka, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The police are currently investigating the details surrounding this devastating incident to gather more information.
