Josh Segarra recently opened up about his experiences on the set of the forthcoming Fox series, Best Medicine, which is set to make its debut on January 4. While the show stars notable actors such as Josh Charles, Annie Potts, and Abigail Spencer, Segarra has made waves by declaring that the true standout performer is not human but a four-legged one.

In an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Segarra named Wattson, the dog portraying the endearing character Copernicus, as his favorite actor on set. “Best actor on our set right there, playing Copernicus,” he said, expressing his admiration for the canine star. Segarra affectionately noted the joyful times spent working alongside Wattson, highlighting the fun dynamic the dog brings to the production.

Beyond Copernicus, Segarra shared that the show also features other animal talents, including a pig named Sprinkle. He revealed that his children enjoy seeing photos of these animal co-stars, underscoring the playfulness of the filming environment. “Anytime I’m working with any of the animals, I send photos out to my boys, and they get a big kick out of it,” he said, showcasing his family’s involvement in his creative endeavors.
