Tylor Chase, widely recognized for his role as Martin Qwerly in Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” is currently facing challenges while living on the streets in California. According to the Riverside Police Department, Chase has been frequently encountered by officers, engaging with them on a weekly basis.
Ryan Railsback, a Public Information Officer for the department, informed that Chase is known to the team and that they have reached out to him multiple times. The Riverside Police has a specialized outreach division dedicated to assisting unhoused individuals, offering comprehensive support services including mental health resources, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and temporary shelter options.
Despite receiving numerous offers of help, Tylor has consistently declined these treatment and housing opportunities, emphasizing that it remains his decision. Interestingly, while some individuals facing similar circumstances might respond to law enforcement with hostility, Chase reportedly maintains a cooperative and friendly demeanor during interactions.
Recently, Chase has gone viral on social media, with several videos circulating that depict him in a disheveled state on the streets. Authorities made him aware of the content, and it appears that he has no objections to the attention. Importantly, Tylor is not facing any criminal charges, and there has been no communication with his family regarding his situation.
This situation highlights a broader issue concerning former child stars and their struggles, reminding society of the importance of empathy and support for individuals in difficult circumstances.
