Former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Earl Little Jr. is reportedly planning to reenter the NCAA transfer portal, as confirmed by On3’s Pete Nakos. Initially, Little had announced his intention to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft, but he has since opted to explore new opportunities in college football following two seasons with the Florida State Seminoles.

Little, who was part of Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class, had a breakout performance during the 2025 season with Florida State, achieving a career-high of 76 tackles, including two tackles for loss, four interceptions, two passes defended, and two forced fumbles. Over his two seasons in Tallahassee, he accumulated a total of 91 tackles. Notably, he delivered one of his most impressive performances against Alabama last fall, recording nine tackles and a tackle for loss.

Before transferring to Florida State, Little had limited playing time at Alabama, where he appeared in only 11 games across the 2022 and 2023 seasons, contributing just two tackles defensively. His decision to pursue the transfer portal indicates a desire for greater playing opportunities as he seeks to advance his football career.
