Ford Motor Company has achieved significant market share growth, increasing by 0.6 percentage points for the year and 0.9 percentage points for the fourth quarter, ultimately reaching a 13.2% annual share. This surge is attributed to Ford’s effective strategy of appealing to a wide array of customers through an extensive selection of trim levels and powertrain options.

Among Ford’s notable achievements, the F-Series secured its title as America’s best-selling truck for the 49th consecutive year and maintained its status as the best-selling vehicle overall for 44 years, with impressive sales of 828,832 trucks in 2025—marking an 8.3% increase. The Ford Explorer continues to reign as the top three-row SUV, while the Bronco has set new annual sales records.

Ford’s Pro Transit Van solidified its position as America’s best-selling van, achieving an annual sales record with 161,797 units sold. Additionally, the Ford Maverick, recognized as the nation’s most affordable pickup, also had a standout year with sales hitting 155,051 pickups.

The company has not only excelled in consumer sales but has also maintained its lead as America’s top seller of commercial vehicles, with Ford Commercial Vans leading sales for the 47th year in a row. The Super Duty line experienced its best sales year since 2004, further establishing Ford’s dominance in the market.

In terms of technology, Ford Pro Intelligence, the company’s paid software service, saw a year-over-year subscription growth of approximately 30% in Q4, bringing the total to around 840,000 active users. Furthermore, Ford’s BlueCruise, a hands-free driving system, has surpassed an impressive milestone of 8.5 million cumulative hours of use.

Andrew Frick, president of Ford Blue and Model e, reflected on the company’s accomplishments: “This past year proved that Ford has the right product and powertrain offering for the lives of our customers. We’re growing share and beating the trend because we offer a great range of products, from accessible entry-level models to high-performance off-roaders. Our growth across record hybrid sales shows that our ‘power of choice’ approach – offering gas, hybrid, and electric – is exactly what consumers are looking for right now.”

Overall, Ford’s continued innovation, expansion into various vehicle categories, and responsiveness to market demands bodes well for the company’s future and strengthens its position within the automotive industry.
