South Florida will experience a period of largely calm and mostly dry weather through the end of the week, with temperatures gradually increasing as we head into early next week. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect this morning for inland Palm Beach County due to patchy to dense fog developing overnight.

Visibility is expected to drop significantly around sunrise, and the fog may drift toward the western parts of East Coast metro areas. Drivers are advised to exercise caution during their morning commutes by slowing down, using low-beam headlights, and maintaining extra distance between vehicles.

As the day progresses, conditions are anticipated to improve by mid-morning as temperatures rise and winds increase slightly. A weak stationary boundary over central Florida will dissipate, allowing high pressure to establish itself from the north and east. High pressure typically brings clearer skies due to sinking air that inhibits cloud and rain formation. While there is a slim chance of a stray shower, overall rain chances remain low for today and Saturday.

Temperatures will continue to warm during this period, with highs projected in the upper 70s to lower 80s each afternoon and overnight lows in the mid-50s inland and lower 60s along the eastern coast. Light northerly winds are expected to transition to more easterly by Saturday as the high settles in.

As we move into late Sunday and Monday, a notable shift in weather is anticipated with the arrival of a stronger storm system from the central United States, bringing a cold front toward Florida. While forecast models vary on timing, there is growing confidence that the front will reach South Florida late Sunday into Monday, increasing rain chances. Light to moderate showers are likely throughout Monday, although widespread heavy rainfall is currently not expected.

Following the passage of the front, high pressure will rebuild along the East Coast, leading to a return to dry and tranquil conditions for the rest of the week. Seasonal temperatures will persist, with highs remaining in the upper 70s to low 80s and overnight lows in the 50s inland, along with low 60s near the coast. Overall, a pleasant week is on the horizon for South Florida residents.
