Florida’s Condon Earns AP Preseason All-America Nod

Florida junior Condon has earned a spot on the prestigious five-man preseason Associated Press All-America team, as announced by the AP on Monday. Condon, who was the top scorer for the Gators last season with an average of 10.6 points per game, has also been recognized with a first-team All-SEC designation and another accolade from the Blue Ribbon Yearbook, further solidifying his status as a standout player this preseason.

The native of Perth, Australia, had an impressive performance during the Gators’ championship season in 2024-25, recording seven double-doubles and accumulating 103 offensive rebounds, a feat that ranks third in Florida’s history for a single season. Notably, Florida has seen just one previous first-team All-America player in its history, with that honor being awarded for the 2024-25 season. Joakim Noah was the most recent player to receive preseason All-America recognition prior to the 2006-07 season.

Joining Condon on the Associated Press team are Braden Smith from Purdue (a unanimous selection), JT Toppin of Texas Tech, Yaxel Lendeborg from Michigan, and AJ Dybantsa from BYU.

As the season approaches, the No. 3-ranked Gators are set to kick off their 2025-26 campaign on Monday, November 3, against the 13th-ranked Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas. Following that, they will open their home games on November 6 at 8 p.m. against North Florida. It’s worth noting that traditional season tickets and Arena Passes for this upcoming season are already sold out, highlighting the immense support for the Gators. However, single-game tickets are currently available for fans, who can purchase them through FloridaGators.com, by contacting the Gator Ticket Office, or by visiting in person at Gate 2 on the west side of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Additionally, a new promotional event, the All Gators Weekend Pack, is now available. It offers access to the Florida men’s basketball game against Merrimack on Friday, November 21, and the football game against Tennessee on Saturday, November 22, for an attractive price of $149 plus taxes and fees. Fans attending the Merrimack game will also receive a replica ring celebrating the 2025 NCAA National Championship, courtesy of Meldon Law, making it a memorable experience for all attendees.
