Florida State’s 2026 Recruiting Class Poised to Turn Heads Under Norvell

Florida State University (FSU) football is eagerly looking ahead after moving on from the previous season, with the announcement confirming that head coach Mike Norvell and his staff will return for the 2026 season. This optimism is further bolstered by what is shaping up to be one of the top recruiting classes in the nation, featuring commitments from 12 players ranked in the USA TODAY Florida Top 100.

Leading the remarkable incoming class are standout recruits including Chauncey Kennon, the nation’s number three cornerback, and Izayia Williams, the sixth-ranked linebacker. Kennon, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound star from Sarasota Booker, is recognized for his powerful defensive plays, having recorded one interception and 15 tackles in just ten games. He also showcased his versatility with impressive offensive stats, including two receiving touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Corbyn Fordham, a 6-foot-3½ tight end from Bolles, has made waves with his 26 receptions that garnered 310 yards and three touchdowns during a championship run. Also noteworthy is linebacker Karon Maycock from Miami Central, who has recorded elite numbers including 35 tackles, six tackles for loss, and a pair of sacks during his senior year.

Additionally, several players are making significant progress. For instance, Judah Daniels from Fort Myers led his team with 71 tackles and seven sacks, while Efrem White of Vero Beach switched to quarterback and achieved considerable success, leading his squad to the Class 7A Final Four. The commitment of these athletes demonstrates FSU’s perseverance in securing top talent.

FSU’s efforts have also paid off in other areas, as they bring in versatile players like dual-threat athlete Darryon Williams from Plant, who logged significant contributions on both offense and defense. Furthermore, commitment from players such as Jaden Neal, a quarterback who led Mustang High School to impressive offensive stats, illustrates the strategic focus FSU is putting on bolstering its roster for future success.

As the early signing period approaches, FSU fans are optimistic about this promising class, with updates on commitments and official signings expected. The excitement surrounding the program is palpable, giving supporters hope for a brighter football future as Coach Norvell and his team look to enhance their legacy in Tallahassee.
