Florence + The Machine Debuts Organic Gaga Cover in Intimate SiriusXM Session Ahead of Everybody Scream

Florence + The Machine recently unveiled a captivating cover of Lady Gaga’s latest single, “Abracadabra,” during an intimate session for SiriusXM, celebrating the release of their new album, “Everybody Scream,” which debuted on October 31.

The performance featured Florence Welch and her band delivering a unique rendition that eschewed the original’s electronic elements in favor of a more organic arrangement, incorporating instruments such as flute, harp, and violin. Alongside “Abracadabra,” they also performed “Which Witch” from the deluxe edition of their 2015 album, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful,” and included Gaga’s “Mayhem” from this year.

Welch’s previous collaboration with Gaga on the song “Hey Girl” from Gaga’s 2016 album “Joanne” highlights the enduring connection between the artists. Gaga has praised Welch’s vocal talent, referring to her as “one of the greatest vocalists in the world.”

In addition to the stand-out track “Sympathy Magic,” Florence + The Machine’s new album includes singles like “Everybody Scream” and “One Of The Greats.” The record features contributions from notable artists such as Mark Bowen from IDLES, Mitski, and Aaron Dessner of The National, all of whom collaborated with Welch on the title track.

With its rich musical tapestry and collaborative spirit, “Everybody Scream” is poised to resonate deeply with fans, further solidifying Florence + The Machine’s unique place in the contemporary music landscape.
