The Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination (FY12CE) has announced a pass rate of 74 percent for 2025, as revealed by Education Minister Aseri Radrodro. This represents a slight decrease from 2024, where the pass rate stood at 76 percent with 12,868 students participating in the examination. A total of 12,020 students took part in this year’s assessment.

Minister Radrodro highlighted the crucial roles played by school heads, teachers, parents, guardians, and school management committees in fostering a supportive educational environment. Their combined efforts have been instrumental in guiding students toward their academic success, even in the face of a modest decline in overall results.

In a notable achievement, five secondary schools attained a perfect 100 percent pass rate in the 2025 examination, an improvement from the four schools that reached this milestone in the previous year. The schools celebrated for this accomplishment include Nadarivatu High School, Levuka Public School, Rabi High School, Valebasoga Secondary School, and Duavata Secondary School.

Additionally, five government schools have been acknowledged for their significant improvements in pass rates. These schools—Levuka Public School, Queen Victoria School, Sila Central High School, Suva Grammar School, and Nasinu Secondary School—demonstrate a continued commitment to enhancing educational outcomes throughout the region.

The provisional results for the FY12CE are set to be released tomorrow, providing further details on the performance of Fiji’s students. As schools persist in their pursuit of excellence, the future of education in Fiji appears bright, bolstered by these impressive achievements.
