FirstEnergy Corp. has appointed Michael Auseré as its new Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, effective June 2. In this key role, Auseré will manage the company’s long-range planning and budgeting processes, directly reporting to Chief Financial Officer Jon Taylor.

Auseré brings with him over 25 years of extensive experience in the energy sector. He previously held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Eversource Energy and has also worked in various financial capacities at Energy Future Holdings. His career began in public accounting with PwC, reflecting a strong foundation in financial oversight.

FirstEnergy is recognized as one of the largest investor-owned electric utilities in the United States, serving more than 6 million customers across six states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland, and New York. The company operates an impressive 24,000 miles of transmission lines that facilitate energy distribution across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
