Crushing operations at the Lautoka Sugar Mill are nearing completion for the 2025 season, with the final day set for this Friday. This decision was reached following talks led by Semi Leweniqila, spokesperson for the Sugar Industry Tribunal, and the Chief Executive of the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
Leweniqila has urged growers and harvesting teams in the Western Division to focus on the timely harvesting and transportation of any remaining sugar cane to the Lautoka Mill ahead of the deadline.
