The Sheraton Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has officially launched its festive season with a remarkable highlight: what the hotel manager, Yvo Alexander Van Dijk, claims to be the largest gingerbread house in the South Pacific. Unveiled on December 5th, this impressive structure measures 55 meters in length and 30 meters in width, making it a significant attraction in the resort’s lobby.
Van Dijk proudly stated that this gingerbread house is not only a feast for the eyes but also a testament to the resort’s dedication to celebrating the holiday season. “We have the biggest gingerbread house in the history of Fiji,” he declared, revealing that the construction involved nearly a thousand kilos of gingerbread.
The hotel manager emphasized the resort’s aim to create a welcoming atmosphere for both local residents and international visitors alike, positioning the Sheraton as a genuine gathering place. “This is what we would expect of the Sheraton, the world’s gathering place,” he explained, highlighting the opportunity for guests to connect with locals and fellow travelers.
In addition to the stunning gingerbread display, Van Dijk reassured guests that the quality of food and beverages offered at the resort is unmatched, promising an exceptional experience that aligns with the high standards of the Sheraton brand. As the festive season unfolds, the resort aims to foster a sense of community and joy among its diverse clientele, making it a hotspot for holiday celebrations in Fiji.
