The Fiji Football Association’s School Holiday Grassroots Program commenced yesterday at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa, drawing a crowd of over 30 eager children between the ages of 9 to 14. Officials express optimism that participation numbers will grow in the upcoming days as parents seek engaging activities for their children during the holiday break.
This initiative emphasizes fun, learning, and foundational football skills, offering young athletes invaluable experiences and development in both sportsmanship and teamwork. The Fiji FA warmly invites parents to enroll their children, encouraging them to take advantage of this enriching holiday program.
The program is set to run until December 17, with sessions scheduled for different age groups. Specifically, sessions for 9-11 year-olds will kick off at 9 am, while the elite boys’ session will commence later at 2 pm. This initiative not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of community and skill development among young players.
