The Kaunikuila Basketball Club is set to make a significant mark on the international stage as it prepares for its debut at the Olympique De Nouméa Basketball Tournament in New Caledonia next month. This exciting event is scheduled to take place from December 13 to 15, showcasing both the men’s and women’s teams of the club.

Club president Ben Nasau highlighted the tremendous opportunity this tournament presents, stating it will allow players to enhance their skills and gain invaluable experience through competition with high-level teams. “This is an incredible opportunity for our players to gain valuable experience, embrace the local culture, and showcase Fijian basketball talent on an international stage,” Nasau said.

The tournament will feature 18 teams from across New Caledonia, offering an excellent platform for the Kaunikuila teams to challenge themselves and grow in a competitive environment. Adding to the excitement, the club has arranged a special exhibition match against New Caledonia’s national teams on December 15, which further emphasizes their commitment to fostering international sportsmanship.
