Clothes for Good, a pioneering not-for-profit pre-loved clothing store in Fiji, has recently made a significant contribution to Homes of Hope, providing $2,000 in cash along with approximately 800 pieces of clothing. This generous donation is aimed at enhancing the mission of Homes of Hope, which focuses on supporting young women and girls in desperate need throughout Fiji.
Founded by Hayden Ostrom Brown, Clothes for Good operates in Nabua and Lami, with a commitment that 100% of its profits are dedicated to reinvesting in local communities and philanthropic projects. Ostrom Brown expressed pride in the partnership with Homes of Hope, emphasizing their shared mission to support those who have faced sexual exploitation, trauma, or violence.
The donation received heartfelt appreciation from Homes of Hope Team Leader Salote Sekinairai, who underscored that the support extends beyond mere material assistance. Sekinairai stated, “Clothes for Good’s support is more than a donation; it is a tangible expression of care, dignity, and restoration. Through this generosity, you are helping young women and girls embrace their worth and begin a transformative journey toward healing and freedom.”
The collaboration embodies the commitment of both organizations to empower vulnerable women and girls and reflects a common vision of dignity and community restoration in Fiji. As this partnership develops, it fosters hope for meaningful change in the lives of those impacted by adversity.
Clothes for Good continues to exemplify how business initiatives can harmoniously blend with charitable causes, creating a cycle of kindness and support that uplifts entire communities. The hope is that this inspiring model encourages other businesses across Fiji to participate in similar philanthropic efforts, thereby enhancing the collective impact on social welfare.
