Fiji’s national men’s football team head coach, Stéphane Auvray, is set to take on the dual role of overseeing Bula FC, a newly formed professional franchise preparing for its first season in the OFC Professional League. Patel noted, “If you appoint a skilled coach, it’s financially viable and logical to second them to the pro league side, and then they return to the national team.” Auvray’s immediate focus will be on getting the national team ready for the upcoming MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in Papua New Guinea next month, with plans to begin Bula FC’s pre-season training in December.
