The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji has announced significant progress in achieving its goals for 2025, particularly in the areas of religious outreach and education. The organization has concentrated its efforts on two primary objectives, with the foremost being the promotion of Vedic values and knowledge derived from the Vedas.

Pundit Bhuvan Dutt, the Sabha Patron, emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of their mission. The Sabha has taken noteworthy steps to ensure that all children have access to quality learning opportunities. Through a program called Ved Prachara, they have actively propagated Vedic knowledge throughout the country.

Pundits affiliated with the Sabha have visited various Samajas in Viti Levu, delivering discourses that guide audiences on living in accordance with Vedic teachings. Dutt expressed pride in these endeavors, stating, “We have been engaged very much in that, and I think we have done a successful job in that.” He pointed out the Sabha’s oversight of numerous educational institutions, which include pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools, and the University of Fiji.

Notably, the Sabha has a historical commitment to education that dates back to the establishment of its first school, Gurukul Primary School in Saweni, Lautoka, in 1918. Since then, it has expanded to build many more schools with the mission of providing education to all. Importantly, these institutions are multiracial, ensuring equal educational opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.

The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha’s commitment to educating the community reflects a deep dedication to fostering an informed and harmonious society, which is a hopeful outlook for the future of education in Fiji.
