Fijian Warriors Unveil 32-Man Extended Squad for Australia Country Clash in Nadi

Three players from Kadavu, Taveuni, and Navosa have been selected for the extended squad of the Shop N Save Fijian Warriors ahead of their upcoming clash with the touring Australian Country team, set to take place next Thursday in Nadi. The squad, which comprises a total of 32 players, has been announced by head coach Cohen Politini.

Among the standout selections are Savenaca Durusolo, fullback from Kadavu, Sevuloni Tawake from Navosa, and halfback Amani Tunaka from Taveuni. The remaining players come from various Skipper Cup teams, including Naitasiri, Suva, Ba, Nadi, Lautoka, Nadroga, and Tailevu.

Players from Naitasiri, key contributors to the squad, include Breyton Legge, hooker Osea Dasalusalu, John Muller, Michael Ferei, Marika Natau, Napolioni Batimala, and Apimeleki Nasalo. Suva’s representation features Mataiasi Tuisireli, Inoke Ravuiwasa, Sosi Waqa, Ponipate Tuberi, Paul Dolokoto, Sivaniolo Lumelume, and Judah Draiva. Meanwhile, Nadroga’s contingent consists of Nedly Grant, flanker Sakiusa Vosayaco, Meli Buinimasi, and Sefanaia Tokaduadua.

Ba rugby players who have made the cut include Allen Osbourne, Isaiah Lotawa, Ratu Peni Dekedeke, and William Ryland. Additionally, Anare Tabakaucoro represents Tailevu, while Nadi’s Josh Uluibau, Ebernezer Navula, and Netava Saukuru, as well as Lautoka’s Sam Soqovata and Apimeleke Nasalo, are in the squad.

The match against Australia Country will be hosted at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park, promising an exciting showcase of rugby talent. This friendly encounter is a great opportunity for these players to impress selectors and build toward future competitions.
