Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has extended his best wishes to Year 8 students throughout Fiji as they embark on their Fiji Year Eight Examinations (FEYE) this week. In an encouraging message, the Prime Minister urged students to remain focused, confident, and to give their best in each test. He emphasized the crucial role of education as a pathway to a brighter future for not only the students themselves but also for their families and the nation.
“May this important milestone open new doors of learning and opportunity as you continue your journey toward a brighter future for yourselves, your families, and for our beloved Fiji,” Prime Minister Rabuka stated. He offered heartfelt blessings, concluding with, “May God bless you all, may God bless Fiji.”
Acting Minister for Education Alitia Bainivalu also conveyed her support to the 19,359 Year 8 students taking the examinations. She stressed that these tests serve not only as a measure of knowledge but also as a reflection of the students’ hard work and dedication. Bainivalu appealed to parents to be steadfast in their support during this critical period, reminding families that a strong educational foundation is vital for future success.
The uplifting messages from both leaders emphasize a collective commitment to fostering student development during this significant phase of their educational journey. The examinations are seen as opportunities for personal and academic growth, highlighting a national belief in education’s transformative power.
As the examination period continues, it is crucial to recognize the efforts of all students and to encourage them to embrace the challenges they face with resilience and confidence. With robust support from their families and community, students are positioned to contribute to a hopeful and productive academic environment in Fiji.
