The Fijian government is diligently working on relocation strategies for families living in the Fiji Muslim League Settlement in Nabua, Suva. Minister Nalumisa has indicated that a comprehensive relocation plan is being developed and will soon be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. To guarantee the security and welfare of the families being relocated, the government is collaborating with the iTaukei Lands Trust Board and the Ministry of Lands to finalize the necessary legal agreements. Additionally, the government is formulating a first-home grant assistance package for those facing eviction, complementing existing Housing Authority grants. A budget allocation of $2.2 million has been made to support these initiatives.

It also aims to benefit squatters from other informal settlements in the Suva region, offering plots to low to middle-income families.
