The breakdown of visitor arrivals showed that 90,930 arrived by air and 1,414 arrived by sea, including 1,156 crew members from fishing vessels and 258 yacht visitors. Additional sources included Continental Europe (2,767), China (2,650), Canada (1,515), and the United Kingdom (935).
Despite the slight dip in September, the overall statistics underline a stabilizing trend in Fiji’s tourism sector, with visitor numbers still surpassing pre-pandemic levels. This gradual yet consistent increase demonstrates the effectiveness of recovery efforts in the Fijian tourism industry. The robust performance of tourism supports hopeful economic recovery and reinforces Fiji’s appeal as a preferred holiday destination, ensuring a positive outlook for future visitor numbers.
