Fiji is set to host the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant next year, marking the event’s return to the country for the first time since 2009. This announcement was made by Pageant Director and Board Director Ana Tuiketei during the Hibiscus Festival held in Suva. As part of preparations for the prestigious event, a Miss Fiji Pageant will also take place, with Miss Hibiscus 2025, NFA Ryelle Aisea, representing Suva.
Fiji has a commendable history in the regional pageant, with three Fijians, Mere Nailatikau, Alisi Rabukawaqa, and Anne Dunn, winning the crown in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively. These winners have since emerged as leaders in various fields, highlighting the pageant’s role in empowering women and promoting Pacific talent on an international scale.
Hosting such events not only highlights Fiji’s cultural heritage and hospitality but also brings positive attention to the region. The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant provides a platform to celebrate the diversity and beauty of the Pacific Islands, fostering connections among participants. It exemplifies the spirit of unity and showcases the talent of the contestants from across the region. The event next year is anticipated to captivate audiences and inspire future participants, further embedding Fiji’s leadership in the cultural and social landscapes of the Pacific.
