Lui Bale Vuibereta, a farmer in Fiji, faces significant legal challenges following accusations of insulting Information Minister Lynda Tabuya in a TikTok live broadcast on September 1 in Nadi. Vuibereta has had two of the three charges against him amended, with the alleged offenses centered around the use of vulgar language that was intended to damage Ms. Tabuya’s reputation.
Following a psychiatric evaluation at St. Giles Hospital, Vuibereta was deemed fit to enter a plea, and the legal proceedings have been adjourned until November 19.
