Fiji Pine Group has recently established a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the iTaukei Trust Fund Board and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). This partnership aims to boost renewable energy projects and encourage community development across Fiji.

The collaboration focuses on creating opportunities for iTaukei and Rotuman communities, underscoring the necessity of fostering local skills while advancing sustainable economic progress. This initiative supports Fiji’s overarching goal of transitioning to clean energy solutions that benefit both the environment and its people.

The MOU was officially signed by Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure, Executive Chairman of Fiji Pine Group, along with Aisake Taito, CEO of the iTaukei Trust Fund Board, and Norbert Maass, the GGGI’s Country Representative for Fiji and Kiribati. Ratu Rakuita emphasized the importance of utilizing land resources and industry knowledge to develop reliable and eco-friendly energy alternatives. Maass noted that partnerships focused on green growth are vital for attaining long-term sustainable development objectives.
