Competing fiercely against top contenders from Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific countries, Fiji demonstrated exceptional skill and perseverance, securing a total of six medals.
The team’s accomplishments were highlighted by a gold medal in the women’s doubles category, complemented by a series of bronze medals across various singles and doubles events. Securing the third spot among all competing nations, Team Fiji Para Table Tennis has brought great pride to the nation, showcasing the impact of dedication and hard work. In the final rankings, Australia took the top position, followed by New Zealand in second, with Fiji firmly in third place. Among the medalists, the women’s doubles team of Mere and Akanisi captured gold, while both clinched bronze medals in the women’s singles. In the men’s singles, Kope secured a bronze medal. The men’s doubles team, comprising Kope and Eparama, also achieved bronze, along with the mixed doubles duo of Mere and Kope, and the men’s doubles team of Jake and Jone.
