The 2025 National Clubs Carnival for Aerobic Gymnastics, hosted at Gold Coast, concluded with notable achievements for Team Fiji. The squad displayed exceptional talent and commitment, earning high rankings, medals, and special awards, marking a significant presence on the international stage. Maria Alvarado, Board Director of Gymnastics Federation Fiji, praised the athletes for their dedication and impressive results.
The competition witnessed stellar performances across various levels. In Level 3 for ages 7–11, Arsene de Luzuriaga attained 14th place in the Individual division with a score of 12.400. Evelyn Irava and Rhonda Rounds claimed Bronze Medals in the Multiples event with a score of 12.850. At Level 4 for ages 7–11, Kesaia Sivo ranked 13th individually, scoring 12.700, and alongside Unaisi Namuaira, secured a top 6 spot in the Multiples division with 12.400.
For the older competitors at Level 4 (age 12+), Karalaini Naituivau achieved 9th place individually with a score of 12.783, and together with Maja Plinkert, earned a top 6 position in the Multiples category, scoring 12.000. In Level 5 (ages 8–11), Lexi Millar finished 11th in the Individuals with a score of 13.166.
The Aero Dance Division One team, which included Evelyn Irava, Karalaini Naituivau, Unaisi Namuaira, and Kesaia Sivo, captivated the judges with their dynamic routine, securing Silver Medals with a score of 12.466. In the Youth International Individual Women’s event, Lauren Pilla delivered a commendable performance, scoring 14.616 and claiming the 11th spot.
A special highlight of the carnival was the Special Performance Award given to members Karalaini Naituivau, Tirzah Helenani, Kesaia Sivo, Unaisi Namuaira, Jemesa Lau, Arsene de Luzuriaga, and Lindy Wilson. This award celebrated their inspiring performances and unwavering dedication.
Team Fiji’s notable performance at the event not only underscores their individual talents but also elevates Fiji’s status in the international gymnastics community.
