Tavua Road Seals Upgrade Nears Completion, Fiji Drivers Benefit

Fiji Seal Maintenance Nears Completion on Tavua’s Malele Road

Roadworks are currently underway on Malele Road in Tavua as part of the Seal Maintenance Program. This initiative involves the reconstruction of a crucial 92-meter section of the road’s traction seal, designed to bolster road strength, ensure long-term durability, and enhance the overall driving conditions for all users.

The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has confirmed that the work is progressing according to schedule and is anticipated to be completed by next week. These upgrades are part of the FRA’s ongoing effort to maintain and improve Fiji’s road network, which plays a vital role in providing safer and more reliable access for communities across the Western Division.

In addition to the project on Malele Road, the FRA is also actively engaged in various maintenance and improvement projects throughout Fiji. Recently, they completed chip sealing operations along Ratu Kadavulevu Road, which were aimed at improving road traction and extending its lifespan. Similar initiatives are taking place in other regions, including Vakabuli Village Road and various locations within the Central Division.

Motorists are advised to be cautious when navigating through construction zones as there may be temporary delays. Nevertheless, the long-term benefits of these infrastructure upgrades—including enhanced safety, better connectivity, and improved travel experiences—are expected to positively impact the community.

The FRA’s commitment to investing in essential road infrastructure not only exemplifies their dedication to enhancing safety but also fosters community well-being, laying the foundation for improved living standards throughout Fiji.
