The Fiji Rugby Union has made a strategic move to enhance its governance by welcoming Tony Ram to its board. The announcement was made by Chairman John Sanday, who noted that Ram, currently the General Manager for Lending at HFC Bank, will contribute as a non-voting member. His role focuses on asset management and financial planning, areas where he possesses significant expertise.
Ram’s involvement with the union commenced in December, and Sanday highlighted that his professional experience and extensive network have already yielded positive results for the organization. This addition is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the operational framework at Rugby House, reflecting the union’s ongoing commitment to effective management and future growth. The initiative emphasizes the importance of financial acumen in sports administration, aiming for sustainable development in Fijian rugby.
