A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into the illegal importation of liquid methamphetamine. The accused is reported to have been behind the wheel of a vehicle carrying two individuals who were previously arrested for offenses including unlawful possession of illicit drugs, unlawful importation, and possession of property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
Following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), authorities charged the man with one count of Unlawful Transportation of Illicit Drugs. He is scheduled to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
