President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu recently visited the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Muddenahalli, India, where he learned about the facility’s commitment to providing free, high-quality healthcare for children and families in need. The visit included a briefing on the hospital’s advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging system, recognized as one of the most sophisticated in India, which supports precise imaging in neuro, cardiac, and soft tissue cases, essential for 3D surgical planning.
Part of the broader humanitarian mission initiated by Sri Madhusudan Sai, the hospital operates globally, including a network across Fiji, the United States, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, offering free medical consultations, screenings, and surgeries. The President lauded the hospital’s mission and emphasized its significant impact in Fiji, where it has facilitated 420 pediatric heart surgeries and provided over 68,000 free consultations, greatly enhancing healthcare access for communities.
During this visit, Ratu Naiqama also recognized the pivotal role of former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in establishing the Sai Prema Hospital in Fiji. This facility has become a vital resource, symbolizing hope for many families across the Pacific.
