In a significant crackdown on organized crime, the Fiji Police Force, in collaboration with various departments, apprehended seven individuals on September 23, 2025, during raids conducted in Flagstaff and Rewa Street. The operation involved the Serious Organised Crime & Intelligence Department, the Fiji Detector Dog Unit, Police Mobile Force, and the Fiji Immigration Department. Among the arrested were six foreign nationals and one Fijian citizen.
The raids resulted in the confiscation of methamphetamine, as confirmed by the Fiji Police Forensics Science Services, along with local and foreign currencies suspected to be linked to criminal activities. As investigations continue, the suspects remain in custody for further interrogation.
