Speaking at the inauguration of the G S Raj Supermarket in Rakiraki, Rabuka highlighted the importance of unity among Fijians, especially with the festive season approaching, and advocated for joy, cooperation, and goodwill across diverse ethnic groups.
In response to recent discussions about ethnic tensions, the Prime Minister firmly rejected any claims of rising nationalism, asserting, “You do not have anything to worry about as long as we are in control.” He emphasized the clear benefits of collaboration and suggested that this approach can be a model for all provinces.
