During the inauguration of the $6 million George Shiu Raj Complex in Rakiraki, he rejected fears about a potential resurgence of iTaukei nationalism and emphasized that there is no reason for any community to feel threatened.
Rabuka reiterated that Fiji is a home for everyone and assured all ethnic groups, stating, “I want to assure all ethnic groups in Fiji that we will look after your interests. You do not have anything to worry about.” His comments reflect a commitment to inclusivity and cooperation as essential elements for national unity and economic progress.
